Hi! I'm Marie Elena. I have always enjoyed being artistic and creative with a special love and appreciation for photography. However, I've always preferred being behind the lens vs. in front of it. Photographers see the world in a different way, from a different perspective. We see things others people don't. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul and to certain extent I agree. Many times I have found myself oscillating between two photos that are similar in posing and lighting but the thing that always sways me one direction is the eyes.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words but have you ever looked at a photo and found yourself rendered speechless? Have you ever come across a photo and it transports you back to the moment it was taken? Have you ever seen a photo and you can hear, taste, smell and feel everything as if you were still in that moment?

I recall when my sister got married I was unable to attend her wedding because I was about to have my daughter and there is one picture of her laying on her wedding dress talking on the phone - to me. It is the only photo where I am somewhat "present" at her wedding. Those are the moments in life I long to capture.
